LONG BIO
Megan Paullet is an award-winning, Pittsburgh-based multi-genre artist known for her powerhouse vocals, sharp songwriting, and electrifying live performances. Raised on an eclectic soundtrack of Frank Zappa, Led Zeppelin, Whitney Houston, and Janis Joplin, she has crafted a sound that blends neo-soul, funk, and pop-rock with emotional honesty and undeniable groove.
After overcoming years of stage fright and stepping away from a decade-long career as a competitive swimmer, Paullet joined her first band in 2014 — a turning point that launched what would become a steadily rising music career. Since then, she has earned a reputation as one of Western Pennsylvania’s most compelling independent voices, praised by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette as a “standout” performer with vocals that are both commanding and deeply expressive.
Her latest single, “I Just Wanna Stay Home,” marks a fresh creative chapter, pairing infectious hooks with candid lyricism and a knowing nod to modern burnout, vulnerability, and self-preservation. The release highlights Paullet’s evolving sound while staying rooted in the soulful storytelling that defines her work.
Backed by her eight-piece band, The HR Department, Paullet delivers a high-energy, soul-soaked live show built on tight funk grooves, bold band chemistry, and moments that feel both electric and intimate. She has performed on stages across Pittsburgh and nationwide, including Stage AE, Heinz Hall, PPG Paints Arena, The Benedum Center, Capital One Arena, Cheyenne Frontier Days, and numerous festivals and theaters across the country.
Her collaborations include appearances and performances with the Pittsburgh Penguins, the Washington Wizards, the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, Emmy Award-winning artist FRZY, and shared stages with Los Lonely Boys, Petey Pablo, John Hall (Orleans), Josh Gallagher, and members of Sponge and Ted Nugent’s band.
In 2025, Paullet was awarded Best Singer/Songwriter at the Iron City Rocks Music Awards and continues to build momentum with new releases and performances, establishing herself as an artist whose groove, grit, and authenticity leave a lasting impression.
